The following icons appear on the DOCS tab on Info-Organiser (see image below).

Function
  • Saves documents into Info-Organiser
  • Saves all properties once changed
  • Opens the selected document form the Info-Organiser database
  • Updates the document

  • Either saves the document as a new version or replaces the previous version

  • Selects all documents

  • This is usually a precursor to performing an additional function

  • This checks the document out of the database to enable editing/modification

  • Once Check Out is selected, no other user can edit the document

  • Read-only access is still available when checked out

  • Copies the current document selected

  • Cut the documents from their current location

  • Paste the documents in a new location

  • Delete the document selected

  • Note: your administrator may have restricted this function

  • Recovers document from the recycler that may have been accidentally deleted

  • Clears all user defined properties from the document

  • Note: system meta data is not cleared

  • Reuse populates the document being edited with the user defined values saved on the previous document

  • You can then edit any of the fields after using reuse

  • Press save once done

  • Shows all properties associated with the document

  • Save the documents out from the database and onto a location on your computer

  • Saves the document out with all metadata in an XML format

  • Select the document and click e-mail and it will send the document as an attachment to Outlook ready for sending

  • Multiple documents can be selected and e-mailed

  • Integrates with your Windows SEND TO functions

  • Use the drop-down list so select your function (Image below)



  • Send the document to your default printer for printing

  • Shows the active security setting on the document

  • See your administrator to change these

  • Shows all document versions for the document

  • Shows a complete history for the document

  • Add a Password to a document

  • The document cannot be opened without the password




  • Moves you to the previous document in the active window

  • Moves you to the next document in the active window

  • Copies the user-defined meta data to the Windows clipboard

  • You can paste this into any other document

  • Works by using the document ID. IRL Link allows you to paste a link into another Windows program

  • This allows for the document to be accessed using i-Link from another program
